Terms of Service

Last updated 11.09.2026

These terms cover the appliance repair work carried out by ecappliance. They apply when you book a visit through this website, over the phone, or in person. Terms covering the use of this website are set out separately in our Terms of Use.

Booking a visit

Submitting the request form is a request for service, not a confirmed appointment. An appointment exists once we have spoken to you and confirmed a date and an arrival window. Arrival windows are estimates: traffic, and jobs that turn out to be larger than described, move them. We will tell you when that happens rather than let you wait.

Diagnosis and pricing

Our technician diagnoses the fault on site and gives you the total price for the repair before any work begins. You decide at that point whether to go ahead. Nothing is repaired, and nothing beyond the diagnostic fee is charged, without your approval.

A diagnostic fee applies to the visit and is applied toward the cost of the repair once you approve it. If you decide not to proceed, the diagnostic fee is payable for the visit and the diagnosis. Current pricing is shown on this website and is confirmed when you book.

A repair sometimes reveals a second, unrelated fault once the appliance is open. If that happens, we stop and quote it separately rather than adding it to the bill.

Parts

We fit new parts appropriate to the appliance. Where a part has to be ordered, we will tell you the expected lead time before you approve the repair. Parts removed from your appliance are disposed of unless you ask us to leave them with you.

Warranty

Parts and labor on a completed repair are covered for 90 days from the date of the visit. If the same fault returns within that period, we return and put it right at no further charge. The warranty covers the specific repair carried out; it is not a general warranty on the appliance, and it does not cover a new and unrelated fault, damage caused by misuse or by someone else working on the appliance afterwards, or an appliance that has been moved or reinstalled since the visit.

What we need from you

  • Safe access to the appliance, and to the power, water, or gas supply serving it.
  • An adult aged 18 or over present for the duration of the visit.
  • Pets kept out of the working area.
  • Accurate information about the appliance and the fault — an incorrect model number is the most common reason a technician arrives without the right part.

Where access cannot be given, or where the working area is unsafe, the technician may decline to carry out the work. A visit we cannot complete for that reason is treated as a call-out.

Cancellations

Let us know as early as you can if you need to cancel or move an appointment; the slot can then go to someone else. We ask for reasonable notice rather than a fixed cut-off.

To confirm before launch: the cancellation and no-show policy — whether a fee applies, and from what notice period.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the repair, by the methods listed on your invoice.

Limits

We carry out repairs with reasonable skill and care, and we are responsible for damage we actually cause. We are not responsible for the loss of food in a failed refrigerator or freezer, for a pre-existing fault in the appliance or in the supply serving it, or for consequential loss arising from an appliance being out of use. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of NC.
