Built-in and drawer dishwasher repair

A dishwasher has to fill, heat, circulate, drain, and seal — and a fault in any one of those stages shows up as the same complaint: the dishes are not clean. Standing water is a drain problem, gritty residue is usually circulation or a blocked spray arm, and a cycle that never finishes is generally heating or control.

We repair built-in, drawer, and portable dishwashers across the major brands, including the supply and drain connections under the sink. Where a leak has been running for a while we also check the cabinet base, because a repair that leaves wet substrate behind is not finished.

What usually goes wrong

The faults we see most often on dishwashers. If yours is on this list, say so when you book — it helps us load the right part before we set off.

Standing water left in the tub

A blocked filter or drain hose, a failed drain pump, or a disposal air gap that was never cleared.
Dishes come out gritty or filmy

Clogged spray arm jets, a worn wash pump impeller, or water not reaching temperature.
Leaking onto the kitchen floor

Door seal, tub gasket, or a split fill hose — and occasionally simply the wrong detergent oversudsing.
Will not start, or stops mid-cycle

Door latch switch, thermal fuse, or a control board that has lost a heating or drain confirmation.
Very loud during the wash

A foreign object in the sump, or wash pump bearings on their way out.
Detergent dispenser stays closed

Wax motor or latch failure, or a blocked dispenser flap, leaving the cycle running on plain water.

We wanted our dryer vent cleaned, I coordinated with 3 other neighbors to have the service done the same day for the 4 houses. The Technician Artem was excellent, on time (minus a gate code glitch) respectful of the property, worked quickly and efficiently and left the laundry room clean of all the lint behind the machines. I felt the pricing was a bit high, but the service comes with a 6 moths warranty. Is water left in the bottom always a fault?

A small amount of water in the sump is normal and stops the seals drying out. Enough to cover the filter, or water that smells, is a drain fault.

Can you repair an integrated dishwasher behind a cabinet panel?

Yes. Pulling and refitting an integrated machine with its custom door panel is routine work; mention it when you book so the right time is allocated.

Why do my dishes come out with white residue?

Usually hard water combined with a rinse aid setting that is too low, rather than a fault. If descaling and a rinse aid adjustment do not fix it, the heater or circulation is the next thing to check.

My dishwasher leaks only sometimes.

Intermittent leaks are almost always the door seal at one corner or oversudsing from the wrong detergent. Both are quick to confirm on site.
