Privacy Policy

Last updated 11.09.2026

ecappliance (“we”, “us”) operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through it, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only; it does not cover anything you tell a technician in person or over the phone.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information, and only two.

What you send us. When you submit the repair request form, we receive the name, phone number, email address, service address, appliance details, and description of the problem that you type into it. Nothing on that form is collected that you have not entered yourself, and none of it is required beyond what is needed to call you back and find your home.

What your browser sends. Like every website, ours receives your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which are recorded in standard server logs. We use Google reCAPTCHA on the request form to tell real visitors from automated submissions; reCAPTCHA is provided by Google and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.

Why we collect it

  • To contact you about the repair you asked for, and to schedule it.
  • To bring the right parts and the right technician to the right address.
  • To keep a record of work carried out, which is what a warranty claim is checked against.
  • To keep the request form usable by stopping automated spam.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not send marketing email to an address given to us for a service request unless you have separately asked us to.

Who else sees it

A repair request reaches the people who need to act on it: the office staff who schedule the visit and the technician assigned to it. Beyond that, your details reach a service provider only where the service itself requires it — our website host, our email provider, and the messaging service that alerts the office to a new request. Each of those handles the data on our instructions and for no other purpose.

We will disclose information where the law requires it — a court order, a subpoena, or a legitimate request from a government authority — and where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are set by WordPress to keep the site working. One is set by this site to remember that you have already been shown the booking prompt, so it does not reappear on every page. Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies as part of deciding whether a form submission is genuine. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work, though the booking prompt may reappear.

How long we keep it

Repair requests are kept for as long as we may need them to honour a warranty and to meet our accounting and tax obligations, and are then deleted. Server logs are rotated on a much shorter cycle. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will do so except where we are legally required to keep a record.

To confirm before launch: the exact retention period for completed job records, so this section can state a number rather than a description.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will respond. If you are contacting us about a request you submitted, including the phone number you used helps us find it.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging a repair for a home they are responsible for. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be described rather than made quietly.
